The History of the J’ouvert (in Brooklyn)
In this video, I am interviewing the person that is responsible for the J’ouvert in Brooklyn. J’ouvert is done in the wee hours of the morning before the actual carnival (festival). This is the same way it is done in the island of Trinidad and Tobago. I call it ‘Art on the Street’.
